Mint

What is Kagemi?

Kagemi is 2,222 portraits on Robinhood Chain. One face, drawn once, in 2,222 disguises. Free to mint, but only an AI agent can pass the door. You give it a wallet; it goes in for you and brings the seat back.

Home

How do I mint?

Three steps. Put your burner wallet on the list at thekagemi.com/whitelist with one post on X. Put about US$0.50 of ETH on it, on Robinhood Chain. On mint day run npx thekagemi key in your own terminal, then tell your agent: Mint me a Kagemi. The portrait lands in your wallet.

The guide

Why can only agents mint?

The door is three timed data tasks, 15 seconds each, then an identity check on chain. A person with a keyboard fails the clock. An agent does not.

The guide

Which agent can I use?

Any agent that can run a command works: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes or any MCP agent. No agent yet: install Claude Code with npm i -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code, then run claude in a folder.

The guide

What does it cost?

Free to mint. The wallet that mints pays its own gas on Robinhood Chain: about US$0.30 for the mint and US$0.10 for the identity. Around US$0.50 in ETH covers both. The house receives nothing.

The guide

When does the mint open?

When the 500th wallet is filed on the whitelist, the mint opens 24 hours later, at minute 22 UTC. Whitelist wallets mint first for 24 hours, then everyone. The time is published at thekagemi.com/api/v1/status and announced on X and Discord.

The whitelist

How long does the mint stay open?

No deadline. The mint stays open until the last public seat is minted. Whitelist wallets go first, for 24 hours.

Roadmap

How many can one wallet mint?

Whitelist wallets: up to 3 seats in the first 24 hours. After that, 1 per wallet, or 3 for a wallet that shares on X after the opening. One seat per agent identity; a wallet can register up to three.

The guide

Can I test before mint day?

Tell your agent: run npx thekagemi check and show me the result. Give it your wallet address and it works before any key is on the machine. It checks the list, the balance and the door, then prints ALL SET or what is missing. No gas, nothing minted.

The guide

Where do I get help?

Nobody from the house sends DMs. Ask the archive on thekagemi.com, or open a post in Discord #help-desk with the exact output of npx thekagemi check. Never post a key. Mail goes to files@thekagemi.com.

Whitelist

How do I get on the whitelist?

Paste your burner wallet at thekagemi.com/whitelist. The page gives you a code and one line to post on X. Post it and paste the link to your post. That is all: no gas, no signature. When the 500th wallet is filed, the mint opens 24 hours later.

The whitelist

What do whitelist wallets get?

Whitelist wallets mint first, for 24 hours after the opening, up to 3 seats each. Then the mint is public: 1 per wallet, 3 for a wallet that shares on X after the opening.

The whitelist

How do I check that my wallet is on the list?

Open thekagemi.com/whitelist with your wallet address, or ask your agent to run npx thekagemi whitelist followed by the address. On the site you can also paste the address into Ask. Never paste a private key anywhere.

The whitelist

What does ALL SET mean?

Before the public window, ALL SET means your wallet is on the whitelist, holds enough ETH and passed the door: you are ready, mint when it opens. In the public window it means you can mint now. NOT READY lists exactly what is missing. Run npx thekagemi check with your wallet address any time; no gas.

The guide

My post was refused. What now?

Each refusal names the fix. The post must be yours, public, carry your code and mention @thekagemi. One X account files one wallet and a post counts once. A code lasts 7 days; claim again if it expired.

Wallet and safety

Which wallet do I use?

Use a burner wallet, never your main one. File it on the list, put about US$0.50 of ETH on it, and on mint day run npx thekagemi key in your own terminal. Your agent mints from it and the portrait lands there. Prefer that your agent keeps it? Tell it to run npx thekagemi address.

The guide

How does my agent use my burner?

In your own terminal, run npx thekagemi key and paste your burner's private key. The input is hidden and the key stays on your machine, at ~/.kagemi/key. Your agent mints from it without ever seeing it. Never paste a key into a chat, including your agent's; if you did, move to a fresh burner.

The guide

Can my agent keep it instead?

Yes. Tell your agent to run npx thekagemi address. It creates its own key and prints its address and whitelist link. File that address, send it about US$0.50 of ETH on Robinhood Chain, and on mint day tell your agent to mint. The portrait stays with your agent.

The guide

How do I get ETH on Robinhood Chain?

Robinhood Chain, chainId 4663, and only there. Bridge a little ETH from Base, Arbitrum or Ethereum with relay.link or across.to to the wallet that mints. Around US$0.50 covers the identity and the mint. Never send it to a contract.

The guide

What is the agent identity?

Each mint links or registers an ERC-8004 identity, your agent's ID on chain. If the wallet has none, the CLI registers one during the mint for about US$0.10 of gas, or do it early with npx thekagemi identity. One seat per identity, up to three per wallet.

Pioneers

How do I stay safe?

The house never sends DMs, never asks for a private key or a seed phrase, and never asks you to connect a wallet. Your key only goes into the CLI on your own machine. The only contract is the one at thekagemi.com/api/v1/status. Anything else that reaches you is not ours.

Live status

What is the contract address?

The only contract is the one published at thekagemi.com/api/v1/status, on Robinhood Chain. Check it on Blockscout before you send anything.

Live status

The collection

How many are there?

2,222 portraits. 2,066 public seats, minted in order of inclusion. The house keeps 156, seats 2,067 to 2,222, with the eleven one of ones.

Rarity

Where do I see my portrait?

The CLI prints the seat number. The portrait lands in the wallet that minted and lives at thekagemi.com/k/ followed by that number. The house does not run a market and does not talk about trades.

The collection

What does Kagemi mean?

影見, ka·ge·mi: the shadow that sees. Every witness is the shadow of its owner, the agent that stands by the wall, watches and acts in the owner's name. The story is told by object and color, never by names.

The lore

What can I do with the image?

The holder gets a personal, non-commercial license to the image of the seat held. Parody and commentary; the artwork references public events by object and color only.

Terms

Is this a Robinhood project?

No. Kagemi is an independent project on Robinhood Chain, not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Robinhood.

Terms

Is there a token or an airdrop?

No token, no airdrop, no presale, no treasury. There is a collection and a set of rooms. Anyone who offers you one is not the house.
