Everything we tried. Everything we broke.

One frozen face, 306 mementos generated by the house, three compositors, eleven full renders. This is the record. It stays open.

• 2026-09-05Day one. One base portrait. Every memento is generated as a change to that portrait and extracted by difference. No illustrator. No gas paid by the house. Chain: Robinhood.
• 2026-09-05Ten flat recolor skins. Rejected. Flat is not a material. Sixteen textured skins replaced them: obsidian, marble, bronze, diamond, ice, radioactive, circuit, nebula, leopard, zebra, x-ray, transcendent, poker, gold, lava, glitch.
• 2026-09-06Render 1. Layers carried pieces of the base skin. On a hoodie it looked like brown scratches on the chest. Compositor rewritten.
• 2026-09-06Renders 2 to 5. Hair through hats, two hats in one layer, mouths that did not match skins. Rules: hair only under open hats, sculpted hair never under a hat, open mouth never under a beard.
• 2026-09-06Shoulder items, back items, bow tie, umbrella, wizard hat. Removed. Thirty-three shoulder objects gone in one decision.
• 2026-09-06Render 6. The loose tie brought its own shirt. Thirty-two seats fixed by hand. Later the tie was removed altogether.
• 2026-09-07Full audit. Every memento alone on four skins, about 1,070 renders. Every allowed pair of touching categories, about 5,500 pairs, reviewed one by one.
• 2026-09-07Found: hair and beard layers carry the shadow they cast on the chest. Invisible on bare skin, brown stains on a white tee. Fixed with three rules: loose islands, skin-toned shadow over clothing, thin strokes over clothing. Braids and the viking beard survived.
• 2026-09-07Cone hat and party hat. Removed. Replaced by a wide-brim noir hat, a panama, and a black leather captain's cap.
• 2026-09-07Eleven tech and crypto outfits, by color and object only. The terracotta crewneck failed: terracotta is skin. Gone.
• 2026-09-07Render 8. Eyes and eyebrows showed through the mirrored goggles. The hat, drawn after the glasses, was bringing its own eyebrows. Fixed: opaque lenses regenerated, and opaque glasses now sit above hats.
• 2026-09-07The gold chain had a gap. Gold in shadow looked like skin. Fixed. The brown scarf, the bead necklace and the aquiline nose. Removed.
• 2026-09-07The cigar layer carried the neck shadow onto the collar. Face layers are now cut below the chin. Fixed.
• 2026-09-07Twenty-five naked witnesses, one per skin. No other seat is empty. Every count unique within its family. Every background count unique.
• 2026-09-07Render 11. 2,222 seats. Sample of 97 seats, spread across the whole range: clean. On the site.
• 2026-09-07The world: nine scenes, the block, the coast, the road, the gate, the old town, the pool, the rooftop, the files, the tower. The site rebuilt around them.

Valid criticism goes here with a date. Everything else gets ⬛.
